I'll tell you a little bit about myself.  I started getting into anime back in '94 when nobody knew what it was.  About the same time, I was developing an interest in drawing comics so naturally I started drawing in a Japanese style based on the animation I was watching.  I mainly developed my art in my free time while at the same time I was taking art classes in college.  During college I had the opportunity to give private art lessons twice, once to my friend's younger brother and once to a younger girl named Tori.  Unfortuantely Tori's mom got sick and had to stop her lessons.  I have 3 much younger siblings who all have been homeschooled at some point so I really enjoy working with kids and hope to have my own in the next few years.  I graduated from Towson University in northern Baltimore with a BA in Computer Art.  My main concentration was in digital illustration. I've done design work for the Orioles when I created their spring training logo for the 2000 season. Also recently, I worked on a B horror movie called "Swarm of the Snakehead" where I made the DVD submenus. I've also done various commission projects and worked for car dealerships and other companies doing advertisements and web graphics. Probably my biggest claim to fame if thats what you call it was being the head artist for a small video game project called Charred Dirt. Charred Dirt mainly involved my friend Sean who programmed and I did all the art. It took us 4 years but we finished the project and now have an active community of fans who play the game. It was tons of fun and I'm considering a career in the video game industry.

I'm now happily married and just bought a house in Reisterstown where I set up my studio with teaching specifically in mind.  My true passion is art and currently I have many students that I teach in the Baltimore area. I consider myself very open to people of all walks of life and very internationally minded.  I speak Japanese, some Thai (My wife Jira is Thai) and have been to Japan twice and Thailand once.
